Futures in Medicine Night is a speaker night where students have the opportunity to hear medical professionals from various specialties and career paths talk about what their work involves and the motivation behind their work.

It is a good opportunity for students to hear perspectives from a range of specialties and get more information on career paths they are interested in.

The 2018 Futures in Medicine Night was held at the Tablelands Clinical School and hosted guest speakers working in drug and alcohol rehabilitation, population health, general practice and army medicine.  Use the arrows on the right to learn more about this year's guest speakers.

See below for some photos of the event.

Speakers from various specialties and career paths present on what their work involves, why they do it, and how a medical student aspiring to be in a similar position should go about achieving this.

Students gain broader knowledge of professional growth post medical school and are presented with a variety of avenues they can take; our event in 2016 included speakers from fields of Cardiology, Surgery, General Practice, and Paediatrics.

Below are some photos from the 2016 event.
