The Australian Medical Students’ Association (AMSA) is the peak representative body for Australian medical students. If you are not yet a member, you can now sign up directly from their website. I recommend it.

First Incision

First Incision is coming up fast, so get excited for the one of the biggest events on the UNEMSA calendar! First Incision 2012 will be on Friday 9th March at Booloominbah and it is not to be missed.

To attend First Incision, you MUST email Social Convenor Jacob Hampton (social@unemsa.org) to RSVP, and must pay $25 by Wednesday 29th Feb! Details on how to pay can be found here.

O'Camp 2012

First Years! Your first big Med social event is O'Camp, with our friends from Newcastle. It is a weekend of getting to know each other and some of the older students, learning a bit about medicine and the JMP, but most of all, an unmissable rite of passage for all.

Tickets are only $95, and that covers the cost of the ENTIRE weekend. So head to the UNMS website and make sure you book your ticket! There are limited places available so get in fast.

If you have any questions about O'Camp, just email Vicky (O'Camp 2012 Coordinator) or Georgia (UNEMSA President) .

Congratulations to all of you that were accepted into Medicine at UNE in 2012! Well done!
